Norwegian Seafood Parent-Child Cooking Class
The Norwegian Seafood Parent-Child Cooking Class, an engaging nutrition education event, was hosted in August 2024 by major retailers in Toyama and Osaka Prefectures. Albis Co. hosted the event in Toyama Prefecture, in the Hokuriku region, on Wednesday, August 21, while Mandai Co. hosted the event in Osaka Prefecture, in the Kinki region, on Saturday, August 24.
Parents and children entered a lottery to be eligible to attend the event. Mr. Fredrik Hald, winner of Norway's Chef of the Year award and head of product development at Leroy Seafood, was invited to cook with the parent-child pairs using Aurora Salmon and other seafood.
After learning about Norway, the participants watched a demonstration by Mr. Hald and learned how to cook with Aurora Salmon and other seafood. The children, who were slightly nervous at the beginning, relaxed as the event proceeded.
At the end of the class, Mr. Hald presented each participant with a certificate of completion. Participants were given Aurora Salmon and Aurora Bear merchandise as souvenirs, which they appreciated very much.
