Sales in Southeast Asia

—Asia is one of the most vigorous markets today—

We established JVAT’s cut flower farm in 2009 and expanded into Vietnam. In addition, as of 2014 we are carrying out import sales of marine products at three bases in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) and Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).

It is unusual for a Japanese marine product sales company to have its own overseas bases, but after actually advancing into other countries we have seen there are no limits to the assistance we can provide in Southeast Asia, where the demand for marine products is growing. We are planning to enlarge our sales throughout the entire Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, which has a population of roughly 600 million people, in the future. By sharing our information network and development capabilities—which we have cultivated up until now—with the people of Southeast Asia, we will be able to take advantage of endless business possibilities.

In addition, we have partnered with a Japanese-run foodstuff processing plant in Vietnam that handles ingredients used in sushi. From this plant—which has obtained Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Halal, and EU HACCP certification—we supply Japanese-standard sushi ingredients to Japan and other countries across the world.
